Learn How to Make Your Own Comics at Cook Library’s Friday Workshop!

OMZINE_revisedSMALLO M Zine! A Comics/Zine Workshop
Friday, May 5, 2017
1:30pm to 5:30pm
Cook Library Room 507

Visiting artists Emily Joynton, Sena Kwon, and Jasjyot Singh Hans will lead a hands-on comics/zine workshop for new or experienced creators.

The event will kick-off with a swap, so feel free to bring your own comics or zines to trade, or any other goodies you’re ready to send to a new home.

Emily, Sena, and Jasjyot will show their art, talk about their work in comics and zines, and discuss what inspires them. In the hands-on portion of the workshop, participants will be given three prompts—daily life, current events, and confessions—and have an hour and a half to work on their zines or comics. Afterwards, everyone will share their work!

Art supplies will be provided for the workshop, but feel free to bring your favorite tools to work with. There will be snacks.
