In honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day, Towson University Hillel and the Department of Early Childhood Education is proud to present a special presentation from Howard Kaidanow.
Kaidanow, who grew up and lived in Bellorus, Poland during World War II, will tell his personal story of family tragedy and survival during the war. He served as a Partisan, a group of civilians that opposed Nazi Germany and Soviet Union during that time.
Kaianow’s story includes the heroic struggle of the Partisan resistance, especially the Jewish Partisans among them. He will also describe how he spent the years after the war in Europe and then in the United States and Baltimore.
The event takes place on April 24, at 7 p.m. in Chesapeake Room 3 in the University Union and is free and open to the public.
And in honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day, Towson University students will be holding an event where volunteers will read the names of Holocaust victims at Freedom Square starting at 9 a.m.
