The Black Faculty & Staff Association is currently organizing and building a foundation to become effective in accomplishing its mission of supporting the retention, recruitment and development of Towson University’s students, faculty and staff of color.
The first part of this process is the official election of officers for the executive board. The executive board consists of the president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary. During this period, executive committee positions are open to all current faculty and staff that are willing to become active members of the association. Additionally, there are opportunities to chair or become a member of the following committees: communications, membership, and event planning. Nomination submission and committee interest can be expressed here now!
There will be a candidate meet and greet and overview of the plans, mission, and goals of BFSA on Wednesday, May 3rd from 12:30-1:30pm in the Liberal Arts building, room 2110. All candidates accepting nominations are strongly encouraged to be present. Online voting will begin May 3rd (following the meet and greet) through May 19th at 12pm.
By participating in the nomination/voting process, you are also agreeing to be a member of BFSA at Towson University. If you would like more information about running for an executive board and/or being an election administrator, email bfsa@towson.edu .
