Looking for a way to celebrate Earth Week? Below are four events, which include free Chipotle, pancake buffets and free giveaways.
Join us Friday, April 21 in West Village Commons for Towson University’s 8th annual Environmental Conference. We welcome keynote speaker Dr. Wil Burns, Co-Director of the Washington Climate Geoengineering Consortium and President of the Association for Environmental Studies & Sciences. Registration is free, but space is limited.
On April 22, Earth Day, The Big Event will be greening TU’s campus, one pollinator-friendly plant at a time. That’s right! Pollinator-friendly and native plants will be the highlight of this year’s on campus efforts.
On April 23, grab your bike and join us for Pajamas, Pedals and Pancakes, Towson’s first, themed BIKE PARTY! Meet us at PAWS Pavilion in your PJs at noon to protect your bike by engraving a registered number on your bike with TUPD. You can also register it with the TUPD. Check in, tune-up your bike, and brush up on rules of the road at 1:30 p.m. The group ride begins at 2 p.m., followed by a pancake buffet and music at 3 p.m. back at the pavilion.
Finally, the Conscious Campus Road Tour will be visiting Towson on Wednesday, April 26! Stop by the Union 2nd floor between 11am – 3pm to learn about healthy and sustainable lifestyle choices, and enjoy some free giveaways. Afterwards, join us for a Town Hall focused on Environmental Justice from 6 – 8:30 p.m. in LA 3310. A free Chipotle dinner will be provided to the first 80 participants.
