External (Outdoor) Voice Emergency System Test NEXT WEEK

The Office of Public Safety will conduct a test of the university’s external (outdoor) voice emergency system on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at approximately 2 p.m. The test should last no more than a few minutes. It will consist of multiple alert tones as well as messages that indicate this is only a test and the test is complete.

Members of the university community should be aware this is only a test; no action is required unless a building internal fire alarm system is activated-you will need to evacuate if that occurs.

External voice emergency system tests are conducted on a monthly basis to ensure system functionality. Questions about the tests should be directed to Environmental Health & Safety at x4-2949.
