TODAY’S “What Matters” Speaker Series Lecture on Sea Level Rise and Severe Storms on Mid-Atlantic Coast

TODAY – Friday, March 3, 3:00pm in College of Liberal Arts room 2310

Dr. Daria Nikitina, Assistant Professor of Geology at West Chester University, Pennsylvania, will speak on “Long- and Short-Term Sea Level Changes along the Mid-Atlantic Coast, USA.”  Dr. Nikitina studied the impact of sea level rise and severe storms on the Mid-Atlantic coast, in particular Delaware and Chesapeake Bays. Her main area of expertise is the Holocene coastal geomorphology, development of salt marshes, and the effect of climate change on hurricane intensity and frequency.
