Towson University is creating a new student group, Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ). TU’s chapter will be part of SURJ, a national initiative committed to organizing for racial justice. Through community organizing, mobilizing, and education, SURJ moves white people to act as part of a multi-racial majority for justice with passion and accountability. SURJ provides a space to build relationships, skills and political analysis to act for change.
Please join us on Friday, February 3, from 3:00 to 5:00pm in the College of Liberal Arts building room 3310 to begin this important work on our campus.
