Major Upgrade for the Virtual Workspace Environment this Sunday

Over the past several months, the Office of Technology Services (OTS) has built a new environment to replace the current Virtual Workspace. The final step of this project, switching to the new environment, will take place on Sunday, October 30, from 8-10 a.m. During that time, Virtual Workspace will be unavailable.

About Virtual Workspace
The Virtual Workspace is a web-based solution that provides an easy, convenient and secure way to work remotely. The upgrade will provide faculty, staff and students with easy access to many of the campus applications and network files – from anywhere – simply by using your favorite Internet browser. Additionally, students can access applications like SPSS, Mathematica and Minitab.

About the Upgrade
The upgrade will provide a more stable environment as well as improved performance. Through October 29, you will see the existing login page at http://vw.towson.edu or http://virtualworkspace.towson.edu. After the upgrade on October 30, the new login page will look different, and the desktops will have a new Windows 10 look and feel. The web address will remain the same.
