10th Annual Disability Awareness Workshop: Fostering Awareness and Resiliency on Topics of Mental Health & Well-being

The College of Liberal Arts, the Department of Family Studies and Community Development, Disability Support Services, the ATOD Abuse Prevention Center, and the Counseling Center are co-sponsoring the 10th Annual Disability Awareness Workshop.

This year’s workshop features a student panel and a keynote speaker. The panel comprises Towson University students living with one or more disabilities. These students will speak about their personal resilience and well-being as they meet the demands of their personal, social, and academic lives. The keynote speaker is Ross Szabo, a mental health advocate and award-winning speaker, author, trainer, and returned Peace Corps volunteer. Ross is also the CEO of the Human Power Project, a company that has created a cutting-edge mental health curriculum called “Behind Happy Faces.”

The Disability Awareness Workshop will take place today from 3:30 to 6:00pm in West Village Commons.
