Dr. Paul J. Parker, former Vice President for Student Affairs at Towson University, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016. He was appointed Vice President in 1996 and retired in 2004. Paul brought a wealth of student affairs experience to TU and was strongly connected to the profession. He reorganized the division and its name was changed from Student Services to Student Affairs. Paul and his wife Patti were strong supporters of Tigers Athletics and Paul had a significant impact in improving the student experience including establishing the office of Student Activities and the Student Affairs awards. A memorial service is being planned in North Carolina where he and Patti lived in retirement. Paul is survived by his wife Patti, two daughters, and his grandchildren.
The memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 30th, at 3:00 p.m., at the Hillsborough United Methodist Church in Hillsborough, NC.
