Join the Office of Technology Services’ (OTS) Office of Information Security for TU’s first Cyber Security Awareness event! This National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) event will feature speaker Daniel Gray of the FBI, NSA computer security demonstrations by James Crumpler ’16, and a live hack performed by TU Professor Dr. Michael O’Leary and the Computer Science Department.
Event Highlight
3 to 4 p.m.: TU professor Dr. Michael O’Leary will present a live hack, performed by TU Computer Science students and share his presentation, Defending Your Network: a survey of common cyber threats. Michael is the founding director of Towson University’s School of Emerging Technologies. He developed and teaches hands-on capstone courses in computer security for both undergraduate and graduate students, and has coached TU’s Cyber Defense team to the finals of the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition in 2010, 2012 and 2014.
