Urayoán Noel, Puerto Rican poet, performer, professor and polemicist, will discuss the synergy between art and activism and perform poetry as well. This event is sponsored by Albert S. Cook Library, Center for Student Diversity, IDIS, Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice and Department of Foreign Languages.
This event is also part of the Latino Americans: 500 Years of History grant series which has been made possible through a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association.
