The Towson men’s basketball program will hold its sixth-annual “Tiger Fun Run for Autism” on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 3 p.m. to help kick off the 2016-2017 season.
The event will feature a course run by the men’s basketball players and coaching staff around the Towson campus. Students, faculty, staff and the community are encouraged to join the members of the team on the course.
All interested participants are encouraged to make a minimum $10 donation prior to the beginning of the road run with proceeds being given to the Kennedy Krieger Institute for Autism Research and the Hussman Center for Adults with Autism on Towson’s campus. Donations can be made ahead of time as well as just prior to the run on Sept. 29. The first 50 people to sign-up will receive a commemorative t-shirt.
In just five years, the event has raised over $3,000, with all proceeds going to Autism awareness.
The road run will start and finish in front of SECU Arena. Members of the men’s basketball team, as well as the coaching staff, will be available afterwards for a meet-and-greet.
