New Associate Director for Study Abroad
Please join the TU Study Abroad Office in welcoming our newest staff member – Katie Villamar. Katie will serve as the Associate Director for Study Abroad and will be the primary advisor and administrator for programs in Spanish speaking countries. Katie has been teaching Spanish to elementary school students as part of the BCPS ‘Passport Schools’ program since 2015 and prior to that served as Assistant Director in the International Education Services office at UMBC. She earned an MA in Intercultural Communication at UMBC and a BA in Spanish at Salisbury University. Katie participated in a semester-long study abroad program in the Andes as an undergraduate and spent a year working abroad in Ecuador.
