As we prepare for the 2016 fall term, please see below for important information regarding parking restrictions and traffic modifications during move-in. This year move-in will occur during the week, with freshmen move-in day, Thursday, August 25, being the busiest.
Please expect heavy traffic and the possibility that lots and garages near housing may be full or unavailable, including Faculty/Staff areas. If space is not available in a particular location, please use parking in the Towsontown or Glen garage or the Towson Center lots. Permit restrictions will be lifted Thursday, Aug 25 and Friday August 26 .
Unless directed otherwise by on-site Police or Parking staff, parking on roads, in fire lanes, in travel lanes or in handicapped spaces will still be enforced. Please be aware of increased pedestrian traffic near and around the residence halls as students move in during these days.
Parking & Traffic Modification & Restrictions
Please be aware of the changes outlined below and adjust accordingly.
–Lot 17 at Enrollment – Will be CLOSED Tuesday, Aug 23 at 6 p.m. through 5 p.m. Sunday, August 28. Those who normally park in this lot during the week will need to park in the West Village or Union garage. For those with mobility issues, ParaTransit will be available. Please call 410-704-RIDE(7433). Please allow up to 30 minutes for pick up.
–Millennium Hall Rear Lot(Enrollment Side) – Will be CLOSED Tuesday, Aug 23 at 6 p.m. through Friday at 5 p.m. Aug 26. The rear lot will be available on Saturday and Sunday, August 27 and 28, only for those moving into Millennium Hall.
–West Village garage
-Level 3 – Will be CLOSED Friday, August 12 at 6 p.m. through 6 p.m., Sunday, August 28
– On Thursday, August 25 and Saturday, Aug 27 this garage will be available for parking on a first come first serve basis and may be full, including Faculty/Staff areas, by midday. Please plan accordingly.
–Emerson Drive – Will be ONE WAY from Towsontown Blvd toward Osler Drive during the following times:
-Thursday, Aug 25 – 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
-Saturday, Aug 27 – 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
-Sunday, Aug 28 – 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
–Cross Campus – Will be ONE WAY from the Glen garage entrance on Cross Campus to Osler Drive during the following times:
-Thursday, Aug 25 – 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
-Saturday, Aug 27 – 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
-Sunday, Aug 28 – 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
–Union Garage –
-The south side (Closest to CFA) of the ground floor Faculty/Staff area will be CLOSED Wednesday, August 24 from 5 p.m through Sunday, August 28 5 p.m.
– On Thursday, August 25 and Saturday, August 27 this garage will be available for parking on a first come first serve basis and is expected to fill, including Faculty/Staff areas. Please plan accordingly.
