Active Shooter Training next week

When an active shooter situation happens, you’re forced to respond fast. Learn proven strategies for surviving an active shooter in the one-hour Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course. Cpl. Joe Gregory of the Office of Emergency Preparedness will share the new “avoid, deny and defend” strategy as well as tactics to prevent door entry and defend yourself against an armed suspect.

Upcoming CRASE Training Sessions

Build on your CRASE training by learning how to treat injuries while waiting for help after an active shooter situation. The MAKE-IT course helps you identify life-threatening injuries and learn ways to treat them without medical equipment. The course was developed by Director of Student Health Services Dr. Matthias Goldstein.
