Are you a caregiver for an older adult or will be one in the near future? Do you need support to cope with caregiving demands?
Participate in a caregiver workshop that will provide you with helpful tools and resources. The workshop is part of a pilot research study conducted through the Department of Occupational Therapy & Occupational Science. Please help us learn what is most helpful for caregiver support! Your participation includes:
- Completion of a brief online survey before the workshop to plan and prepare information and activities to meet your needs during the workshop.
- Attend one workshop lasting for approximately 90 minutes which addresses caregiver health. Stress relief and coping strategies are a few of the topics to be addressed in this session in addition to topics identified from the survey.
- Participate in a weekly online discussion forum occurring over one month.
The in-person workshop will be held on March 9, 2016 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., Room 117 in the Enrollment Services building at Towson University. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
This pilot program has been approved by the Towson University Institutional Review Board. Interested students, faculty, and staff please contact Dr. Sonia Lawson at slawson@towson.edu or 410-704-2313 for more information.
