Dr. Alex Storrs, Department of Physics, Astronomy and Geosciences, will present a planetarium show titled, “Polynesian Navigators” in the Watson-King Planetarium, Smith Hall, Room 521. “Native peoples traveled thousands of miles of open ocean without compass or chronometer, settling an area larger than most continents. We will look at how this was done, particularly in light of experiments in recent decades.”
Plan to come and enjoy the show on Friday, February 19th, 2016 at 7:00 and 8:00pm. Telescope viewing, weather permitting after the show.
