Congratulations to the winners of the College of Business & Economics’ first live case competition in its senior business capstone course. Students in nine sections of MNGT 481 Business Strategy competed for the opportunity to present to the judges from 1st Mariner Bank. The case was developed by faculty in collaboration with 1st Mariner Bank and involved creative ways to increase members at various branches. The judges from 1st Mariner were Wade H. Barnes, Sr. Vice President, Director of Retail Banking, Erica Star (CBE alumna), Senior Vice President, Director of Marketing, Kelly McCready, Vice President, Director of Customer Relationship Management and Andrew Schreiber (CBE alumnus), Product and Electronic Delivery Manager judged the competition.
The winning teams were:
1st place: Open Doors Consulting team members — Benjamin Huff, Assitan Kone, Jenna Krakowski, Jennifer Yeboah, and Brandon Osborne
2nd place: The Funky Five team members — Katie Booker, Nicholas Budosh, Brady Byer, Jessa Winazak, and Daniel Woodall
3rd place – Team Winners team members — Guylene Ewane, Joe Greenway, Kelly Lotosky, Travis Mays, and Kaela Vance
