Did you know Towson University has a center on campus that has been developing innovative geospatial solutions since 1992? And, all Towson University faculty, staff, and students have access to leading edge GIS software?
The Center for GIS (CGIS) was founded by John Morgan, Geography Department Director of Emeritus. CGIS is part of the Division of Innovation and Applied Research (DIAR) and currently employs 12 GIS experts of which 80% are Towson Alums. CGIS serves as a hub for GIS activities in Maryland, collaborating with the Geographic Information Office in Maryland and Maryland State Geographic Committee (MSGIC) to support Statewide GIS coordination.
And, if you are a member of the Towson University campus, you can gain access to a campus-wide site license for Esri software. To get connected to the power of GIS, email CGIS@towson.edu.
