Google Authentication Issues Affecting Student Email Access on iOS Devices are Resolved

In a T3 announcement last week, the Office of Technology Services (OTS) communicated that students using iOS devices (i.e., iPods, iPhones, iPads) were experiencing problems logging into their TU Webmail and other Google apps following a password change or iOS upgrade. This issue affected the Google Mail app, the built in iOS Mail app, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Calendar and Google Slides.

At this time, OTS believes it has resolved the issue. As a result of fixing the Google app problem, OTS believes a similar issue with Apple Mail on Mac OS X has been resolved as well.

If you are still experiencing an issue please contact OTS using one of these methods:

  • submit a TechHelp service request
  • call Student Computing Services at 410-704-5151
  • visit OTS in person at Cook 35, Towson Run 123 or TUNE 206
