Planetarium Show “Autumn Colors”

Dr. Alex Storrs, Department of Physics, Astronomy and Geosciences, will present a planetarium show titled, “Autumn Colors” in the Watson-King Planetarium, Smith Hall, Room 521.

This will be an introduction to the autumn sky and the bright and colorful stars that can be seen there. As the center of our galaxy fades in the evening sky we see more of the bright young stars in the arm of our galaxy that is closest to us in the constellations Reiger, Taurus, and Orion.

After the show, we should open the telescope to observe these objects and more. Plan to come and enjoy the show on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 8:00pm.    Telescope viewing, weather permitting after the show.
