Effective July 1, 2015, the minimum wage in Maryland will increase from $8.00 to $8.25 per hour. Read here for more information about this and future changes.
No action is required on the part of hiring departments as adjustments will be made automatically for employees who are currently paid at less than $8.25. Departments should adjust their budgets accordingly to account for the changes.
