Start Building Your Professional Network – Today at 1 p.m.

As a student, building a professional network does not need to keep you up at night – getting started is easier than you think!  Follow this simple formula….Motivation + Willingness + Commitment = Success.

Learn best practices on how to approach connecting with the right people to establish your professional brand. One connection is all it takes to get the ball rolling, as that one person knows people who know people who know people who…well, you get the point as it’s a snowball effect. Making these initial contacts and dedicating the commitment to following up will help you effectively develop new relationships that will help you expand your professional network.

Learn all of these things and more at the National Student Employment Week: Effective Networking – Making Professional Contacts workshop Thursday, April 16 from 1 – 2 p.m. at the Career Center (7800 York Road, Suite 206)

Presented by Harry Florio, Business Administration (Marketing) & Electronic Business Major – ’95 TU Alumnus

About National Student Employment Week

Each year, during the full second week of April, colleges and universities across the country recognize the importance of the student work experience during National Student Employment Week (April 13-17). Student employment offers students career-enhancing opportunities, the ability to develop skills relevant in any career, and better preparation for the job market upon graduation.

Here at Towson University student employees perform invaluable services with enthusiasm, dedication, and initiative. It is only appropriate to set aside a special week to draw the awareness of others, both on campus and off campus.
