Reminder: TU is A Smoke-Free Campus

All campus buildings, grounds, parking garages and open spaces at Towson University (including the Glen Woods and the bridge to the TU Marriott Hotel) are entirely smoke-free.

Faculty, staff and students who do not comply with the policy are subject to a $75 fine and disciplinary action through Human Resources or Student Conduct and Civility Education. Visitors who violate the policy are subject to being escorted off-campus. Members of the campus community are encouraged to report smoking violations for follow-up.

Implemented in 2010, Towson’s Smoke Free policy aims to reduce the health risks associated with exposure to secondhand smoke, reduce health costs associated with smoking, and ensure that all members of the campus community have access to clean air. If you need help quitting smoking, find out about the smoking cessation services provided by the Dowell Health Center.
