The Office of New Student Programs are seeking energetic and enthusiastic students who Transferred to TU to serve as Orientation Assistants for the Summer 2015 Transfer Program. Information on the position description, qualifications and application are below!
What does an Orientation Assistant do?
– Welcome new transfer students and assists in their transition to the TU community.
– Assist with the planning, coordination and execution of the summer Transfer Program Part I & II.
– Conduct Transfer program networking and involvement sessions.
– Provide campus tours and share their transfer experience to new students and families.
– Work with faculty and staff during the advisement/registration portion of Part I & II.
Am I qualified?
– Applicants must have transferred to Towson University.
– Applicants are full time undergraduate students at TU at the time they are applying.
– Applicants must be in good academic & disciplinary standing.
– Applicants should have strong interpersonal, communication and leadership potential.
– Applicants must be available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the following dates:
June 18th, 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th
July 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 13th, 14th,16th, 17th, 20th & 21st
August 19th, 23rd, 24th, & 25th
What else?
– Starting salary is $8.25 an hour.
– On-Campus housing provided during training & Transfer Program I & II with the option for early move-in on Friday, August 14th should you be scheduled to live on campus during Fall 2015 semester.
– Lunch provided during NSP Training & Transfer Program Part I.
