The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies in the College of Liberal Arts hosts the 17th Annual Ian Moore Memorial Lecture on Thursday, April 9, in the College of Liberal Arts building, room 4110. The program begins at 6:30pm with coffee, followed by the lecture at 7:00pm and a reception afterwards. The guest lecturer is Dr. Kah-Kyung Cho, SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor, University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, whose talk is entitled “Subject-Alienation and the Eco-Ethical World View.” Dr. Cho is a world-renowned scholar in the fields of existentialism, phenomenology, and comparative philosophy. He is one of the last disciples of Heidegger and Hans-Georg Gadamer who is still living and doing research and teaching.
