Dr. Alex Storrs, Department of Physics, Astronomy and Geosciences, will present a planetarium show titled, “Leftovers” in the Watson-King Planetarium, Smith Hall, Room 521.
Topic: Asteroids and comets, and in particular, highlight some of the early results of the “Dawn” mission, which will rendezvous with asteroid 1 Ceres in early March. Discussion on proposals for Ceres’ bulk composition, as well as that of comets, and the possible origin of water on Earth.
