2019 Health Benefit Rates
The 2019 health benefit rates remain the same with the exception of minor increases with Kaiser Permanente and Delta Dental. Kaiser rates increased 4.5% and Delta increased less than 1%. State of Maryland Extends Health Benefits Open Enrollment
Due to a delay delivering the open enrollment packets to all institutions, The State of Maryland has changed the open enrollment period to October 15 through November 28. The Office of Human Resources expects to receive the open enrollment packets in late October.
Retirement Plan Contributions – Teachers’ Pension System and ORP Participants
Employer contributions for participants in the Teachers’ Pension System and the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) are made over 20 pays during the academic year. Participants in these systems will receive the first contribution for the 2018-2019 academic year in the September 5, 2018 pay check.
