The Professional Education Unit at Towson University consists of 29 initial and advanced certification programs, housed in five of the six academic colleges. Members of a joint accreditation team from the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) will be on campus from November 2-4, 2014 to complete an accreditation site visit. This is a once-every-seven-years event, and includes a number of scheduled interviews with groups of faculty, staff, students and alumni of the preparation programs.
One of the required interviews is an open interview, for faculty members from any program on campus. This interview is from 3:20 – 3:50 p.m., on Monday, November 3, in Hawkins Hall 313.
