Greg Primrose (Student Affairs) presented a poster titled “Video streaming on a budget” at 21st Annual Campus Technology Conference in Boston, Mass on July 30th.

Abdul Ali (English) won the 2014 New Issues Poetry Prize of $2,000 for his collection, “Trouble Sleeping.”

Tara Bynum (English) was in a group of five CLA faculty who won a $25,000 TU School of Emerging Technologies grant to develop a mobile app.

Harvey Lillywhite (English) was the featured presenter for writing better paragraphs and sentences in legislative and audit reports at the National Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers, and Treasurers in Salt Lake City in April.

Florence Newman (English), professor emerita, published “Chaucer’s Pilgrims in Cyberspace,” a chapter in Approaches to Teaching Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, 2nd ed. (MLA, 2014).

Angela Pelster-Wiebe (English) won a Provost’s Office / Study Abroad Office grant of $4,661 to plan a faculty-led Study Abroad class to France.

Diane Scharper’s (English) review of Marshall Goldberg’s The New Colossus ran in the July 21 Weekly Standard.

Jonathan Vincent’s (English) essay, “A Peculiar Sovereignty: Antifascist U.S. Literature and the Liberal Warfare State,” was published in the June American Quarterly.
