Coming off the finest season in program history, the Tigers have an attractive six-game home schedule that includes contests with Central Connecticut and North Carolina Central in addition to Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) games with Maine, Stony Brook, Elon and William & Mary.

Last season, the Tigers captured nation-wide attention with their march to the NCAA FCS championship game. After finishing the regular season with an impressive 10-2 record, the Tigers handed Fordham a 48-28 loss in the opening round of the FCS playoffs.

Before a national television audience on ESPN2, the Tigers upset No. 2 Eastern Illinois on the road, 49-39. In the national semi-finals, the Tigers pulled out a stirring 35-31 victory over No. 3 Eastern Washington to reach the title game. The Tigers, who finished the season with a 13-3 record, won the Lambert/Meadowlands Award as the top FCS team in the East.
