March is Academic Advising Month

With fall 2014 registration for continuing students beginning on April 3 and 4, “March is Academic Advising Month”!

Identify who is your academic advisor by checking the Program Advisor box in your Student Center and contacting that person to arrange for a meeting.  If you don’t see your academic advisor listed, please contact the academic department for your major or the Academic Advising Center for assistance.  Remember that it is your responsibility to come to your advising meeting prepared meaning that you have reviewed the requirements for your major listed on the department website, reviewed your Academic Requirements Report located in the Academics section of your Student Center and developed a list of courses you wish to take in the fall or, better yet, a plan of courses to finish your degree.  With spring break approaching quickly and with fall registration following soon after spring break, now is the time to set up and prepare for your academic advising meeting.  For further information see www.towson.edu/advising .
