Below is a quick summary of available student permits and where they valid:

Commuter Permits– Only available to students not living on campus with 30 credits or more. Students with this permit may park in designated commuter areas in Glen Garage, Towsontown Garage, and Union Garage. Students with this permit may also park in designated overflow areas in Towson Center lots 13, 14, 19, 20, and 21 (except 21A), as well as designated overflow areas on the second and third levels of the West Village Garage.  The Commuter areas in the Towsontown, Union, and Glen garages are typically full by 10 a.m., Monday through Thursday. If you arrive after 10 a.m. and cannot find a parking space, additional parking spaces are available at the Towson Center overflow parking lots located near the SECU Arena and in designated overflow areas of the 2nd and 3rd floors of the West Village Garage.  You may also be able to find Commuter spaces in lot 24a located near the Administration building.

Overflow Permits– Available to students not living on campus with 29 credits or less and non-degree seeking students. Before 3pm, students with this permit are only allowed to park in designated overflow areas in Towson Center lots 13, 14, 19, 20, and 21 (except 21A) and designated overflow areas on the second and third levels of the West Village Garage.  After 3 p.m. those with an Overflow permit may also park in Commuter permit areas on the core campus.

Resident Permits – Available to students who are living on the campus, to include Millennium Hall.  Resident permits are available based on the resident student’s status and availability of space in a particular resident lot.  Resident permits are only valid in the designated resident lot prior to 3 pm.  Students with this permit may also park in designated overflow areas in Towson Center lots 13, 14, 19, 20, and 21 (except 21A).  After 3 p.m. Resident permits are also valid in Commuter permit areas on the core campus.

Evening Permits – Available to any student not living on campus.  Evening permits are NOT valid on campus prior to 3 p.m.  After 3 p.m. those with an Evening permit may park in Commuter & Overflow permit areas on campus.  Those with an evening permit who wish to park on campus prior to 3 p.m., must purchase a visitor permit and park in a visitor space.
