In celebration of Black History Month 2014, the Center for Student Diversity is proud to announce its first annual Black History Month Art Competition.
To enter participants must submit an original work of art that focuses on an aspect of the black experience in America and encompasses the 2014 Black History Month theme, “Transforming Our Future by Honoring Our Past.” This competition is open to all Towson University students regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, major or class standing.
The top three entries will have their work displayed in the Center for Student Diversity during Black History Month and receive a gift certificate to the University Bookstore ($50-3rd place, $100-2nd place, and $200-1st place). The first place entry will be featured on the Center for Student Diversity website and future Black History Month promotions.
Entries must be submitted to the Center for Student Diversity by 5 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2014. Winning submissions will be announced on Friday, February 14, 2014.
