Speaker Bios

Brian Olds
Founder and President of SKILLS(Sharing Knowledge and Information for Lifelong Success), a professional development and personal empowerment company focused on helping professionals around the world achieve their goals. This is accomplished through equipping professionals with the right combination of people, resources, and opportunities needed to pursue their vision. Brian is the host of the SKILLS Online Radio Show- The #1 Show Helping Young Professionals Learn and Grow. He is in charge of organizing live professional development events featuring dynamic speakers offering audiences a unique way to learn, connect and grow as people and as professionals. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Morgan State University, is a member of American Society for Training and Development, and has delivered hundreds of speeches, presentations, corporate training sessions. He is also an Advanced Communicator for Toastmasters International, a world leader in communication and leadership development.

Rajnish Barua
Dr. Rajnish Barua is currently the executive director for the National Regulatory Research Institute , an independent non-profit entity which serves state utility regulators by producing and disseminating relevant research that provides the analytical framework and practical tools necessary for regulators in their decision-making process. He has also served as executive director of the organization of PJM States, Inc.(OPSI), as the energy advisor to the Chairman of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, as the director of integrated Resource Planning in the Maryland Public Service Commission, and as a regulatory policy administrator in the Delaware Public Service Commission. His experience includes regulatory policy, restructuring of the electric industry, regional energy markets, and other related matters. Dr. Barua has been providing training and technical assistance to energy regulators of over 25 nations, primarily from Africa, Eastern Europe, and South Asia. He has published and presented extensively in regional, national, and international conferences. Dr. Barua is a Senior Fellow of the Public Utility Research Center at the University of Florida and was a member of the NERC Operating Committee. He earned a doctorate from the University of Delaware specializing in energy policy, and has taught courses in electricity and regulatory policy.

Danny Farrar
Danny Farrar is the CEO and Founder of Soldierfit, a military values organization that exists to combat the current obesity epidemic by filling the need for an affordable, safe, fun, and inspirational fitness environment. Mr. Farrar is a United States Army Veteran and has gone on combat tours in Iraq and has earned the Combat’s Infantryman’s Badge. He is a certified trainer with years of experience in the field. He once served as a Fire Fighter/EMT for Montgomery County and has won such award as Top Physical Fitness Award for Recruit Class 31 and the Chief David B. Gratz Award for Leadership & Outstanding Achievement RC 31.
