The Center for GIS within the Division of Innovation and Applied Research at Towson University is hiring student programmers!
Job Description: Assist with or design, write, test, debug and maintain software applications and ensure that applications meet technical and functional requirements. Design and develop applications through optimal use of components, including reusable components. Ensure that applications are consistent with current and planned infrastructure and data environments
Qualifications: The Center for GIS (CGIS) at Towson University is looking for web developers who have knowledge of standard and emerging JavaScript toolsets (jQuery, Bootstrap, Backbone, D3, etc.), familiarity with web mapping APIs (Google, Esri, Leaflet, etc.) and expertise in any of the following: Visual Basic, ASP, JSP, or Visual Studio.NET. Web programming with knowledge of mobile development is a plus. Experience with database management principles and methodologies, systems test and evaluation methods, and new software design technologies, are desired, as well as familiarity with one or more VCS tools, preferably Subversion or Git.
Pursuing a degree in Computer Science.
