Improvement to On-Campus Student Hire Process

In an effort to make the hiring process easier for students, Student Financial Services, Career Center and Office of Human Resources have teamed together to now provide orientation sessions for on-campus student employees.  This will benefit students by allowing them to complete the I-9 and other hiring paperwork at one location, in one session.  The sessions will also expedite when students get paid, as the dates correspond with Central Payroll Bureau’s weekly processing schedule.

Departments hiring student employees still need to complete the appropriate 311-T form.  For the month of August, students can be directed to take the 311-T to the Career Center during the following dates and times to complete the hiring process.

Mondays             August 5, 12, 19       1 – 4 p.m.
Wednesdays       August 7, 14, 21       11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

If students cannot make these sessions, they should follow the current procedure requiring them to go to Human Resources and Students Financial Services to complete the hire process.
