How to Talk to Employers at a Career Fair

If you get sweaty palms just thinking about approaching a recruiter at a career fair, don’t worry—you’re not alone!  You can calm those nerves with one simple technique: by planning and practicing what you’re going to say.

Before you attend the Career Center’s Spring Mega Job & Internship Fair, take some time to create and practice your 30-Second Commercial, a brief speech about your best qualities, experiences, and skills, and what makes you a good fit for the recruiter’s company. Remember, you only get a few minutes to make a great impression!

Make an appointment to practice your 30-second commercial at the Career Center by calling 410-704-2233. Bring your resume, too!
