Interested in volunteering with Hurricane Sandy Recovery over Spring Break? TU will be sending students to Southern NJ to assist with Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts from Saturday, March 16th – Sunday, March 24th. We will be serving with Community Collaborations International (CCI). CCI is a reputable organization that TU has worked with in the past. They will provide all food, lodging, project management, insurance, tools, safety equipment, and project materials. Then we will be traveling with a university van from the lodging to the sites. The total cost of the Spring Break trip is $360 a person (with a limit of 18 people).
In February, TU sent students up and they helped gutting houses, beach clean-ups, and serving at a supply distribution center.
We understand that cost may be an issue, so we can help you fund raise the cost through Alumni Fidelity: http://www.alumnifidelity.com/organizations/towsonalternatebreak.
You can find out more about CCI here: http://www.communitycollaborations.org/disaster and see the blog posted about the February trip here: http://communitycollaborationsinternational.blogspot.com/2013/02/trail-blazers.html?spref=fb
