Invisible Children uses film, creativity, and social action to end the use of child soldiers in Joseph Kony’s rebel war and restore Northern Uganda to peace and prosperity.
On April 13th, 7 p.m. in the Potomac, the Roadies are coming to Towson University. They will be speaking, and show their new documentary, “Tony.” It follows the story of a child soldier, Tony, who escaped these horrors, and was first introduced to us seven years ago in Invisible Ch…ildren’s first documentary – The Rough Cut. Come see how far he’s come.
Invisible Children is a different kind of organization, in that they focus greatly on media, in the form of documentaries, videos, music, and art, (in addition to the reliance on youth activism). The roadies drive all over the country, speaking at schools and educating youth about this crisis. Invisible Children has also toured with numerous bands trying to spread awareness as much as possible.
