Jewish Essay Contest for New Online Journal- Entries Due Mon, Apr 29

Jewish Essay Contest
Entries due Friday, April 29th!!

Contribute to Towson?s new Jewish Online Journal and have the chance at winning great prizes like Barnes & Noble gift cards, leather bound journals, and more! Your essay can be about anything?but here are just some questions to get you started or give you ideas. What is one thing you wish you didn?t know about Judaism? What one part of Judaism do you want your children to have the most? What?s the funniest Jewish experience you?ve had? What about Judaism do you want to know more about? Given the chance, would you re-do your bar or bat mitzvah? Do you feel Jewish? Have you ever met someone and automatically known they had a Jewish soul? Who is a Jew? Who or what is G-d? Would you rather eat 500 latkes or 500 matzo balls?

Don?t stop at original essays! You can submit Jew haikus, top ten lists (Top Ten Reason Why I Love Being Jewish, Top Ten Yiddish Words, Top Ten Crazy Customs)?whatever you?re creativity comes up with. Submissions: Essays must be between 400 and 800 words and be submitted via email to {jkarasik@towson.edu} with the following information: name, year, major, religion/culture, and home city & state. Must be submitted no later than Friday, April 29th. All Towson students, faculty, and students are welcome to submit an essay to the online journal but the contest is open only to Towson students.
