Mandatory Immunization Requirements

Dear Students:

Towson University has mandatory immunization requirements which must be met in order to register for classes. Registration for Spring 2004 semester will soon be starting. If you have not met the university’s mandatory immunization requirements by November 4, your record will be flagged and you will be unable to register for spring classes until this is taken care of.

By Thursday or Friday of this week, we will be sending out email notices to all students who are non-compliant, using the student’s Towson email account. If you receive an email saying you are non-compliant, please contact the Dowell Health Center to either schedule your immunizations or send us the missing documentation. Please do not call until you receive such notification unless you already know you are out of compliance to avoid overwhelming our phone system.

You can get any needed immunizations and/or TB skin tests at the Health Center. Call 410-704-2466 to arrange a nurse appointment. You may fax any outside documentation you have to 410-704-3715. (Your immunization records from outside facilities or providers MUST be signed off by your health care provider to be valid.)

If you are not sure whether the university immunization policy applies to you, check out the policy on the Dowell Health Center website: www.towson.edu/dowellhealthcenter. Click on the link called “Towson University Immunization Policy.” If you didn’t receive a health/immunization form from the university when you enrolled, or you lost it and need another one, you can download the form from the Health Center website. Just click on “Pre-Entrance Health Forms and Immunization Records.”
