Civic Engagement: Why your participation matters

Come here Senator Sarbanes, your Maryland Democratic Senator, speak on working to promote broad, inclusive and direct participation in the search for the public good. The speech is at 7:30 p.m., Monday, April 26 in University Union Potomac. A reception will be held before the speech, beginning at 7 p.m.

Senator Sarbanes has been representing the people of Maryland for over 30 years, first as a delegate to the Maryland legislature, then as a U.S. congressman from the Third Congressional District. He has been a U.S. senator since 1977, where he is the ranking member of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee.
