NAMI-Metropolitan Baltimore will present ?In Our Own Voice: Living with a Mental Illness? on October 24, 2003 from 2:30 to 4 pm in the Administration Building, room 120.

A family member will speak about the experiences in dealing with a college-age student with a mental illness. Another speaker will discuss personal experiences on recovery from a dual diagnosis of substance abuse and a mental illness.

NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill) is ?nonprofit, grassroots, self-help, support and advocacy organization of consumers, families, and friends of people with severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic and other severe anxiety disorders, autism and pervasive developmental disorders, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and other severe and persistent mental illnesses that affect the brain?
