The College of Education scholarship application is now available on the College of Education homepage (www.towson.edu/coe), News link, on left hand panel. To be eligible to apply, you must be enrolled in a program in the College of Education (undergraduate, graduate or doctoral; full-time or part-time). If you are an entering freshman or transfer student, you must have been formally admitted to the University for the fall 2013 semester and have a TU ID number. (Students in Art, Dance, Music, Physical Education and Health Science are not eligible to apply for College of Education Scholarships.)
At the end of the Student Voice application, you will be notified that an essay and resume must be submitted by 4 p.m., on January 7, 2013, to complete your scholarship application. The essay is to explain “Which of your past professors or teachers most influenced your desire to become a professional educator?” It is to be typed, double-spaced, 200 words, and sent electronically to coescholarships@towson.edu. The quality of your writing and the depth of your explanation are paramount.
We encourage applicants to complete a FAFSA form (http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/) since the criteria for many scholarships include financial need.
