International Students:
All new entering students and returning students from Fall 2009 will be billed for the Towson-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan (TU SHIP) providing coverage from 1/25/2010 through 8/14/2010. This charge will appear on your university tuition account.
If you already have your own health insurance policy that you believe meets Towson University?s minimum standards, you may request a WAIVER from purchasing the TU SHIP by completing an online waiver form. The waiver period for the Spring 2010 term begins December 15 and the deadline for completing the Student Health Insurance Waiver Application is February 15, 2010.
To waive student health insurance coverage and receive a refund to our student account for the insurance charge, you must log on to the Online Waiver System and provide information about your current health insurance policy in English by February 15, 2009. No paper waiver applications will be accepted, and no online applications will be accepted after February 15, 2010.
