Take Back the Night

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. In an effort to help Towson students get more involved, the Counseling Center and the Women’s Center are sponsoring free transportation to Turnaround’s annual “Take Back the Night” Rally on Thursday, April 14, 2005. This event is a great opportunity to raise awareness about sexual assault and pay tribute to survivors of sexual assault. This year’s event will include a march, candlelight vigil, and interactive art project. Maryland Senator Paula Hollinger and Baltimore City Health Department Commissioner Dr. Peter Beilenson will speak at the event, and live music will be provided by Rachel Colbert. The Towson bus will leave at 5:00 p.m., from the Union Loading Docks, for the Washington Monument in Baltimore. Space is limited, so please have interested parties e-mail or call Julie McKenna, Ph.D., {jmckenna@towson.edu}, 410-704-5095, to reserve a spot. Thanks for your support.
