Dear International Students,
As you might know, all international students on F or J visas are automatically enrolled in the school-sponsored insurance plan as they are required to have health insurance according to Towson University policies.
This is to inform you that if you have your own insurance plan and do not want to pay for the school-sponsored insurance, you need to apply for an insurance waiver (exemption) to this policy. To request a waiver (exemption), you must submit a waiver application, a copy of your insurance card, and a copy of the insurance benefits in English by the pubished deadline. To receive the exemption, your insurance must meet Towson’s insurance standards.
The DEADLINE FOR WAIVER APPLICATIONS is FEBRUARY 15, 2005.
Please note that waiver requests must be resubmitted EVERY FALL SEMESTER.
