Towson University Police Provide Rape, Aggression, Defense (RAD) Course

The Towson University Police Department will be offering a Rape, Aggression, Defense (RAD) course for female students.

RAD is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques. The RAD system begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance. RAD also teaches hands-on defense training. RAD is dedicated to teaching women defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assault, by utilizing easy, effective and proven self-defense tactics.

The course will be held weekly on Wednesday evenings beginning October 8, 2008 and continuing for the next four consecutive weeks. The classes will be held from 6-9 p.m. Class location will be provided when confirmation is received.

The course is open to all female students and is available at no cost. Register early, as class size is limited.
